Capabilities

Circuit Board Design & Prototyping

Our Team is capable of taking a conceptual design and walking it through mechanical, schematic, final Gerber file design and into prototype or first article build.

Depending upon design complexity and component lead times, a typical project

will require 1-2 weeks for design and upon approval of design, 2-6 weeks for prototype

or first article builds to be completed.

We also support strict contract manufacturing, i.e. being provided a finished design and providing prototype and mass production.

Surface Mount Assembly – up to 48” length

Utilizing Juki RS1R pick and place machines, Heller ovens and Juki P-LED screen printers, we have the ability to produce any length circuit board, up to 48 inches, on rigid or flex PCB material.

Solder & Secondary Assembly

We have a robust secondary assembly and solder station enabling us to support small box builds, wire harnesses, wire leads and other processes that cannot be supported through the SMT lines.

Thru Hole Assembly

For those components that  require a solder connection on the back of the board and cannot be placed by a Surface Mount Assembly process, we have a secondary manufacturing process that can support these product assembly requirements.

Conformal Coating

For an added layer of protection from environmental contaminates and moisture,

we offer conformal coating of your circuit board assemblies for those more

challenging applications.

Quality Testing

100% Inspection

Nothing leaves Creative Lumens without thorough inspection, so all products are visually inspected at the end of the production line and then function tested prior to shipment.

Integrated Sphere Testing

Each production run begins only after a first article batch is tested in our GL Optic sphere to ensure consistent product is produced within specifications for our customers. The sphere has the ability to measure CCT, CRI, Ra, R1, R14 values, chromaticity errors, wavelengths and more.

X-ray Inspection

X-Ray Inspection provides an additional layer of inspection for certain components with more complex, larger pads. A product may function immediately after manufacturing, but validation with X-Ray ensures that the solder connection is within specifications to ensure reliability and longevity. X-Ray Inspection also provides a more detailed inspection of failed product, making root cause analysis and correction more precise and efficient.
